Overview & Highlights

If you're looking for an authentic tapas experience in the heart of Barcelona, look no further than La Flauta Rambla de Catalunya. Nestled at Rambla de Catalunya, 91, this bustling restaurant is a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, La Flauta offers a delightful array of both hot and cold tapas that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting more.

One of the standout features of La Flauta is its impressive selection of dishes. Customers rave about the fresh ingredients that are swiftly transformed into culinary delights. From the razor clams to the exquisite squid, every plate carries the suggestion of the sea, while offerings like the torrija Santa Teresa deliver sweet, comforting depth that feels like a warm hug.

User reviews highlight the friendly and efficient staff, who ensure that your dining experience is as smooth as it is delicious. Though the restaurant may resemble a lively cafeteria at first glance, the quick service and high turnover rate ensure that the ingredients are always fresh, keeping your meal both vibrant and flavorful. Whether you're enjoying a glass of sangria or an Estrella, the casual dress code invites you to unwind and savor every bite.

Despite its tourist-heavy location, La Flauta remains a beacon of genuine tapas cuisine. With options that cater to every palate, patrons encourage newcomers to follow the waitstaff’s recommendations; some of the rare and unusual tapas pairings are said to be nothing short of extraordinary. Many guests agree: even if the restaurant can feel bustling and crowded at times, the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

To sum it up, La Flauta Rambla de Catalunya offers a vibrant taste of Barcelona’s culinary scene, marked by exquisite tapas and a lively atmosphere. Whether you visit for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, it’s clear that this establishment truly captures the essence of Spanish dining, and I can’t wait to return to explore more of its mouthwatering offerings.

This is one great spot for Tapas. Recommended by our hotel we ate here twice. Lots of Tapas choices both hot and cold. Wait staff is courteous efficient. Atmosphere is crowded, a bit hurried, and kind of cafeteria looking but the Tapas are worth it. Dress is casual so enjoy an Estrella or glass of wine. Order two to three Tapas and dessert and then have some unusual ones which were out of this world. Try the torrija santa Teresa, delish. Too many tasty Tapas to describe here but you won't be disappointed.

As popular as it is, the food was truly delicious. With the fast turnover, the ingredients were also fresh. The razor clams and squid were especially good. The staff were friendly, and the food came out quickly. Both the clara and the sangria were enjoyable — though watching how the sangria was made, it looked more like they were just throwing different drinks together into a punch.

I have eaten great Tapas all over Spain but this is something else. If you are in Barcelona, make sure you come to this restaurant it is outstanding. Don’t order any top us ask the weight staff. I’m gonna put her picture in there. Ask her to recommend and rare recommendations are amazing at the top. Us are out of this world.

This place is in a more touristy and convenient location, I can see why the prices are a bit higher for the quality and quantity of the food. We passed by this place couple times at night and saw queues outside, so we went for lunch instead of dinner. My family enjoyed this restaurant, the service was good, dishes were fresh. Overall, this restaurant is a bit overrated, probably because it gets more food traffic from tourists and reviews. I wouldn’t stand in queue for their food.

Lovely outdoor setting right in the middle of everything. Locals as well as tourists- everyone had a great evening. The tapas were exceptional. We ordered way more than we needed but wanted to try it all. The waitstaff was prompt and friendly. Will definitely return

One of the best Tapas restaurants I have been to in Barcelona. Fresh seafood counter great ambience with a classy clientele and very efficient waiters that work extremely hard. Definitely worth coming back to for my next trip to Barcelona

Good selection of Tapas and it’s really tasty too. The fish of the day was fresh and a mix of turbot, prawns and squid. Patatas bravas was very good crispy outside and fluffy. Prices are a bit higher but not too bad. This restaurant gets very very busy so you better come early. The restaurant itself is spacious and the service here is fast and friendly.

The truth is, and I am writing this review in English for foreigners to understand, this restaurant has an amazing variety of options for you to try the many dishes Spain has, and at a very affordable price taking into account the quality of the food. The service is excellent; everything is served elegantly and in a fast pace. I highly recommend.
